A Box of Love!

Four years ago, I received an e-mail that brought tears to my eyes.  It was from a child in Uganda who received a Christmas shoebox from my Dad and me.  This precious child said that people hated them because they had HIV/Aids.  I responded and told them I loved them like Jesus. I also told them Jesus loved them so very much. Their response said they wanted to know more about Jesus who loved them. Ever since I tearfully read that first e-mail, we have kept in contact. I pray for them continually.

When I was a little girl, I began packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Since that time, I have received handwritten letters, photos, e-mails, and even a phone call from children and families whose lives have been touched by the shoebox gifts they have received. Every shoebox is special. Every shoebox captures a piece of my heart. Every shoebox is an opportunity to share the infinite love of Jesus Christ with children around the world. There is no greater joy in the world than telling someone about the saving grace of our Lord and Savior.

Every year, I faithfully pack several shoeboxes.  But every year, I have a great desire to pack an even greater number of shoeboxes. In order to accomplish this goal, I need your help. Each shoebox will cost $7.00 for shipping (paid to Samaritan’s Purse) plus the items needed to fill the box, which will cost up to $23 per box. Whether I meet my goal or not, every dollar will be put into packing Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase items for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes or to pay the shipping fees for these boxes.
